The Seattle Red Hawks are proud to announce that we will have Girls Recreational Teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U age groups for next season! Girls hockey is continuing to grow and we are committed to fostering that development on and off the ice. Registration coming soon! Tryout Dates:

U18 A1 & A2 - 4/24/25 to 4/27/25 
U15 A1 - 4/24/25 to 4/27/25 
U13 A1  - 4/24/25 to 4/27/25 
 

If you are unable to attend tryouts, you must contact Girls Hockey Director Annie Smyth-Hammond (a.smyth-hammond@sjha.com) and notify her of your inability to attend.  At the Director's discretion, you may be granted a secondary tryout. If granted, you will need to register for the tryout and pay in full. We will provide tryout jerseys.

At the completion of tryouts you will be notified as to your status on the Seattle Red Hawk teams.  Should you be offered a spot, please be prepared to accept your position by way of a deposit in the amount of $350.00.  Checks can be made out to Seattle Junior Hockey Association.  Once this initial deposit is made a link will be sent out to create your payment plan for all remaining payments.

Prerequisite:  N/A (new skaters welcome)
Series Length:  8 sessions - 1x per week
Day & Time: Saturday Morning's from 8:45am - 9:30am at Olympic View Arena on the following dates:

March 8th-May 3rd, 2025

The objectives of our Girls' Beginner program is centered around growing the fundamentals of hockey. It’s important for beginner players to become comfortable on the ice, learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, use of edges and how to hold a stick before moving into a higher level of hockey. We are excited to host a girls' only environment to learn in and take this next step in continuing to grow the girls' game in our area. Jerry Weir will be the head coach of this program.
