All of our recreational teams take part in the MHL "C" division. Each team will receive two, 1 hour practices per week along with one league game per weekend. Mitey Mite players receive one 1 hour practice and one game per week (Mitey Mite plays in house). Prerequisite for playing on one of our recreational teams is completion of our Beginner Hockey 1 and 2 programs. All players that register with the association will take part in the Recreational evaluations which will begin the 2nd week of September. Following the evaluations your player will be placed on one of the teams within that division.
Until further notice and restrictions are lifted SJHA will continue to follow State guidelines with regard to number of players allowed on the ice at a time, entry and exit procedures and no spectators being allowed in the building during training sessions. All players must arrive at least 50% dressed in their gear and allowed in the building 15 minutes prior to their on ice session. When their training session is complete they will remove their skates and have 10 minutes to exit the building through the lower SE exit where parents can pick them up.
We will also be operating with 50 minute on ice sessions until further notice. Throughout the course of the season each player will receive the same amount of ice they would during a traditional season. We are working closely with local associations and Government to determine when we will be allowed to participate in competitive games by way of the MHL or local tournaments.
