12U Lady Adrmirals Battle to the Finals

The 12U Lady Admirals took part in the inaugural Seattle Fall Classic at the new training facility for the Seattle Kraken, the Kraken Community Iceplex.  This was the first ever tournament hosted at the facility and it was all about the girls.

The Admirals battled teams from Sno-King, WWFHA, San Jose (Tier 1), and Tri-Valley California, playing 6 games across 3 days.

During the qualifying games, the Admirals played an intense game against the San Jose Jr Sharks. They ultimately dropped the game when the Sharks scored the winning goal with 1.4 seconds left in regulation to go ahead 2-1.

On Monday, the third day of the tournament, the Admirals advanced to the Championship game to have their rematch against the Sharks. Just like the earlier game in the weekend, this was a back and forth battle throughout the game. The Admirals struck first, going up 1-0 in the 1st period. The Sharks scored 2 in the second to take a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period. During the 3rd period, the Admirals were able to tie it up and it stayed that way until the end of regulation. The game went to a 5 minute timed overtime. The Admirals were able to get a shot on goal shortly into OT, but ultimately a minute later, the Sharks scored the winning goal, taking the Gold medal for the Seattle Fall Classic.

Congratulations to the Lady Admirals on a fantastic tournament and a strong showing of the Seattle Junior program and girl's hockey in the Pacific Northwest!
